E.B. (Skip) Sigmon III serves as Senior Advisor to the Director at INTERPOL Washington, the United States National Central Bureau (USNCB) of the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL).
Upon entering federal service with the U.S. Department of Justice in 1997, Mr. Sigmon assisted federal law enforcement and Department of Defense agencies in increasing their capacity to respond to victims of terrorism and mass violence. Following the attacks of 9/11, he joined the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where he helped develop and implement tactical training programs for the Federal Air Marshal Service. In 2010, he joined INTERPOL Washington, where he remains today.
Mr. Sigmon’s law enforcement experience includes service as a police officer, detective, and Criminal Investigator in the Office of the District Attorney General in Nashville, Tennessee. His awards and decorations include a Medal of Valor for heroism while under gunfire during an armed robbery investigation.
A native of Washington DC, Mr. Sigmon is a graduate of Vanderbilt University.
