In July 2022, Heather Rauch was selected as assistant director for Global Programs & Women, Peace, and Security Unit. In this capacity Ms. Rauch works across regions to implement all global programs that focus on a variety of law enforcement, counterterrorism, and gender equity issues. She is also responsible for developing pioneering efforts to create capabilities and resources to increase gender diversity visibility and participation in law enforcement agencies and peace and security initiatives.
Ms. Rauch has served with ICITAP for over 17 years and prior to being promoted served as acting assistant director for the ICITAP Europe and Eurasia (E/E) region. In this role, she supervised law enforcement assistance attachés in the field and the headquarters-based program officers, who coordinate and implement programs in numerous countries throughout the Balkans, as well as in Ukraine and Armenia. Prior to leading the E/E region, she served as deputy assistant director for the ICITAP Asia, Africa, and Middle East region.
Ms. Rauch has received numerous meritorious and special achievement awards, in addition to the ICITAP award for outstanding achievement.
