A 33-year veteran of Boston Police Department, Donnie Gosselin ended up spending a lot of his career far away from Boston Police Headquarters.
A Fulbright Policing Scholarship in Latin America led to a three year deployment helping midwife Panama’s transition to a community involved and data led agency. Mr. Gosselin later returned for a second tour as Senior Advisor to the Central American Police Reform Initiative.
Later, he evaluated a State Department counter extremism initiative based in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. He assessed the deplorable state of police infrastructure in Mali. He assisted the Bangladesh Police to help use intelligence led policing to combat terrorism. In all, he has served in various roles in 17 different developing countries.
Presently, Mr. Gosselin serves as Federal Consent Decree Monitor in Puerto Rico. He is also assisting State Department efforts to create “how to” police program guides for US embassy delegations.
Mr. Gosselin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the Northeastern University and a Doctoral degree from Suffolk University. He graduated FBINA #174. He serves as IMPACT’s Vice Chair.
