Colonel Monique Brown
Colonel Monique Brown is a 23-year veteran of the Baltimore Police Department and is currently assigned to the Criminal Investigation Division, where she serves as the Chief. She is locally and nationally recognized for her commitment to bridging relationships through community engagement, partnership, youth, and police reform. Her work includes implementing the Gun Violence Reduction Strategy, community policing, and youth diversion strategies. She has chaired and served on numerous boards where she has utilized her lived experiences to be a catalyst for collaborative solutions for reducing violence. Colonel Brown received her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and is pursuing her graduate degree in Management from Strayer University. She is featured in ‘Charm City”, a documentary film about Baltimore City that highlights the positive actions undertaken by groups and individuals, optimistically offering humanity as a common ground.
