Cornelia Sigworth currently serves as Senior Advisor to the Director and the Associate Deputy Director for Law Enforcement and Crime Reduction with the US Department of Justice’s Bureau of Justice Assistance. In this capacity, Ms. Sigworth directs BJA’s law enforcement and crime reduction work including its partnerships with local, state, and national policymakers and their efforts to combat violent crime, enhance prosecution practices, improve public safety responses and outcomes for individuals who come into contact with the criminal justice system, and improve business processes. She currently serves on the Advisory Board for the FBI National Academy /National Executive Institute and the University of Chicago’s Police Leadership Academy.
