Ninette Toosbuy spent nearly 25 years of dedicated service within the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). Her tenure as a detective was highlighted by her pivotal role in running a sex crimes unit, tackling some of the most sensitive and challenging cases. Additionally, Ninette's work extended beyond her investigations, as she leveraged her wealth of experience to instruct law enforcement professionals and college students in the science of investigative interviewing.
Following her LAPD career, Ninette transitioned to a senior investigator role within the Office of Professionalism at the University of Southern California (USC). Her valuable insights and meticulous approach to investigations contributed to upholding the highest standards within the institution.
Ninette holds a bachelor's degree in history from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a master's degree in national security studies from California State University, San Bernardino. Currently, Ninette presentes and teaches Science-Based Interviewing (SBI) to higher learning instituations and law enforcement agencies in the United Saates.
