Professor McClure is the advisor for the Forensic Psychology program at Western Illinois University. Courses of specialization include Psychology & Law, Eyewitness Memory, Psychology of Police Operations, and Psychology of Investigation. Her research takes a social-cognitive approach to the study of perception and memory of bystander and operational (e.g., police officers) witnesses. Serving as an expert witness for the courts, and statistical consultant on eyewitness science and memory for lethal force encounters, she partners with regional police organizations and training institutes conducting research and translating scientific findings for policy, practice, and training curriculum. Currently she co-directs the Laboratory for the Investigation of Psychology and Law and the Professional Research Pool for Criminal Justice Science (www.prpforcjscience.org). This work is supported by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board Executive Institute, the Missouri Safety Center, and the Psychology Department at Western Illinois University.
