Christopher Cook is the Director of Public Safety/Chief of Police in White Settlement, Texas, a military suburb of 20,000 residents in Fort Worth and home to the Naval Air Station - Joint Reserve Base and Lockheed Martin at Air Force Plant #4. Chief Cook started his law enforcement career in 1995 and retired as a Deputy Police Chief in 2022 from the Arlington, Texas Police Department. During his tenure as a member of the executive command staff, Chief Cook chaired the Major Cities Chiefs Associaion Public Information Officers Committee, the International Association of Chiefs of Police - PIO Section, and was President of the National Information Officers Association.
Chief Cook is a 2023 graduate of the prestigious FBI National Command Course, Session #4, in Quantico, Virginia. He holds a Master of Arts Degree in Criminology from the University of Texas-Arlington and has been a contributor in multiple published products on law enforcement public relations, media management, and communication strategy with the Department of Justice and other governmental organizations. Chief Cook is also a lecturer at top tier police conferences around the country.
