A third generation Colorado native, Mike Phibbs has almost 30 years of public safety experience, 17 of them as a Chief of Police. Currently he is the Senior Director of the Specialized Business Group for the Colorado Department of Revenue. In this position he oversees Gambling, Liquor & Tobacco Enforcement, Horse Racing, and Auto Industry Licensing for the State of Colorado. Mike holds a bachelor's degree in philosophy with an emphasis on law & society from the University of Colorado Boulder, a master’s degree in Executive Leadership/Criminal Justice from the University of Colorado Denver, graduated from the 241st class of the FBI National Academy, Mike has received awards from the Colorado Association of Chiefs of Police for being a Pioneer in Policing and was given the Pat Steele Award for long term professional and ethical contributions to law enforcement and the people of Colorado.
