My father had a positive influence on me becoming a police officer. My father was the first African America Police Chief, the first officer to be certified in my hometown, and served over 50 years in law enforcement. After graduation from high school, I continued my education at Mississippi Valley State University where I obtain my B.S. Degree. While working for Holmes County Sheriff Department, I attended Rankin County Sheriff Department and earned my part-time certification. I worked for the sheriff department for two years and was hired by UMMC Police Department, and attended MELOTA to obtain my full-time certification. While working in patrol I attended Crisis Intervention Training in 2020. I was selected to join the Behavioral Response Team in 2022. I enjoy building bridges between law enforcement and mental health. I’ve always had a passion for helping others.
My hobbies include basketball, football, cruising in my antique truck, and spending time with my family.
