Kevin Davis currently serves as the 11th Police Chief for the Fairfax County Police Department – Virginia’s largest police agency and the nation’s 33rd largest.
He previously served as the 39th Police Commissioner of the Baltimore Police Department during a period of historic unrest.
Before his role in Baltimore, Davis served as Police Chief for the Anne Arundel County Police Department and retired as the Assistant Police Chief for Prince George's County Police Department. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy and FBI National Executive Institute. Davis has held leadership positions in various law enforcement associations and boards, including the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
Previously an adjunct professor at American University and Catholic University, Davis holds a master’s degree in management from Johns Hopkins University and a bachelor's degree in English from Towson University. As a fourth-generation public servant from College Park, MD, Davis was honored with the Woodrow Wilson Award for the Distinguished Government Service from Johns Hopkins University.
