Jessica Murphy, LMSW is an Emergency Services Deputy Division Director at Johnson County Mental Health Center (JCMHC) in Kansas. With over 17 years in the mental health field, she's held roles from case manager to crisis clinician, before becoming the team leader for Johnson County's Co-Responder program in 2017. Under her guidance, the county's team grew from 11 to 20.5 positions in 2022. Jessica founded the National Co-Responder Conference (CoRCon) in 2020, which sold out all four years, drawing over 550 attendees from 30+ states at CoRCon 2023. Jessica is Board Chair of the International Co-Responder Alliance (ICRA), which she launched in 2021. In the summer 2023, Jessica oversaw the development and implementation of having a “civilian responder” model in Johnson County with the Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT), which is still in the pilot stage. Throughout her career, Jessica earned awards like "Excellence in Community Service", "Leadership in Action" and "Pillars of Performance and Development". Jessica holds a Bachelor's in Psychology from Kansas State University and a Master's in Social Work from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
