Sergeant Patrick Hanby has been employed with Fayetteville Police Department for over fourteen years. He has served the department in various capacities, including the Special Investigation Unit Detective specializing in victims of marginalized communities. In 2020, he was promoted as a front-line supervisor, tasked with supervising patrol shifts. In 2022, his role was transitioned to the Crisis Intervention Response Team (CIRT). He is responsible for embedding social services advocates and social work interns into the patrol response of those experiencing crisis. Sergeant Hanby also serves as a CIT Instructor and Coordinator. Sergeant Hanby is a Graduate of the University of Arkansas – William J. Fulbright School of Arts and Science with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and Sociology. Sergeant Hanby holds a Senior Certificate from the Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Training. Sergeant Hanby currently serves as the Program Manager of the Crisis Intervention Response Team and the University of Arkansas School of Social Work Internship program.
