Lady Justice Diana Rachel Kavedza- Mochache
Holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Nairobi, a Post-graduate Diploma from Kenya School of Law, a Certificate in Strategic Leadership from Kenya School of Government and a Certificate in Crisis Leadership from Rosewell Academy, United States of America (USA).
Prior to her appointment as Judge, she was a career Magistrate. She is credited for establishing Counter-Terrorism (CT) Courts in Kenya. She was the pioneer Head of Station Shanzu CT Court within Shimo La Tewa Prison at the Coastal Region. She was also the first Head of Station at Kahawa CT Court within Kamiti Maximum Prison, Nairobi. During her tenure as Head of Station, the two courts emerged as the best performing courts in the country.
She is currently serving at Milimani High Court- Criminal Division. Her passion for handling serious crimes has been recognized by the Chief Justice who has transferred her to establish two High Court stations: Kibera High Court, the first High Court within the largest slum in Africa and Kahawa, the first counter-terrorism High Court in Kenya.
