Chris Delaney is the Product Owner for Law Enforcement solutions at Esri, where he At Esri, he is responsible for creating ready-to-use configurations of ArcGIS technology to support Law Enforcement missions and workflows. Prior to Esri, Chris spent 13 years at the Rochester, NY Police Department. His early career was spent as an intelligence analyst in the narcotics unit, where he developed the department’s gang database, gang criteria, and conducted spatial and intelligence analysis of gang and violent crime problems. This work included a successful implementation of the gang violence reduction program “Ceasefire”. From 2006-2009, he ran the Crime Analysis Unit of the Rochester Police Department and was the managing analyst for the Monroe Crime Analysis Center in Monroe County, NY. Most recently, Chris was the Director of Business Intelligence for the Rochester Police Department, where he oversaw GIS, strategic analysis, business intelligence, data management, and technology integration efforts for the Department. In addition to being a Certified Law Enforcement Analyst by the International Association of Crime Analysts, Mr. Delaney holds a B.S. in Criminal Justice and an M.S. in Public Policy from Rochester Institute of Technology, where he has previously worked as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Criminal Justice.
