Jonathan Lewin is Acting Deputy Director for Operations for INTERPOL Washington, U.S. National Central Bureau, United States Department of Justice. He retired as Chief of the Bureau of Technical Services for the Chicago Police Department (CPD), where he was a sworn member for 28 years. Lewin served as a board member and past-Chair of the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Law Enforcement Information Technology Section and was the Major Cities Chiefs of Police representative on DHS SAFECOM and FirstNet's Public Safety Advisory Council. Currently, Lewin serves on the IACP CJIS Committee. He was named one of Government Technology’s Top 25 Doers, Dreamers, and was awarded Technology Champion of the Year by NOBLE (the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives). Lewin has local, federal, and international law enforcement experience and served as a Subject Matter Expert and Peer Reviewer for the U.S. Department of Justice. He earned a BS in Administration of Justice at Southern Illinois University, an MA in Public Policy at Northwestern University, and an MA in Security Studies at the Naval Postgraduate School.
