Timothy Janowick retired from the Mount Prospect Police Department in 2017 where he served 24 years connclding as the Chief of Police. Upon retirement, Mr. Janowick assumed a role with the US Department of Justice's Internnational Criminal Investigative Training Team as a Senior Law Enforcement Advisor in Kyiv, Ukraine. He currently serves as a Deputy Mission Advisor in Ukraine as the architect for a number of law enforcement reform and capacity building projects for the National Police of Ukraine. Since his arrival, the Patrol Police Department implemented a field training program, a first the for the NPU; the Patrol Police Academies completed several infrastructure projects, implemented Problem-Based Learning facilitation, and are proceding with international accreditation; the Prevention Department designed, implemented, and expanded the Territorial Community Police Officer Project establishing officer-in-residence community-and problem-oriented policing strategies; and providing organizational development and training for the Department of Criminal Analysis, amongst a host of other projects cuurently acitve in Ukraine.
