Shaun Doyne joined the Overdose Response Strategy as the Wisconsin the Drug Intelligence Officer (DIO) with the North Central High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) Program in September 2021. He supports statewide and local overdose prevention and response efforts at the intersection of health and safety to facilitate cross-sector collaboration. Shaun retired as a captain from the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) in September 2021 after 26 years of service. As a captain, he commanded MPD’s Forensics Division and Violent Crimes Division. His assignments as a lieutenant include the Homicide Division, Narcotics Division, South Investigations and Patrol Shift Commander. He was also assigned to North Central HIDTA and led the Drug Gang Task Force and as a Task Force Officer supervised DEA Group 68. During his time at HIDTA, Shaun collaborated with Federal, State and Local Partners as well as intergovernmental, public health and other community partners.
