Dr. Jocelyn E. Roland received her B.A. in Psychology from Trinity College in 1988, and her Ph.D. from the California School of Professional Psychology-Los Angeles in 1992. She has been a licensed psychologist since 1994.
She became board certified in Police and Public Safety Psychology in June 2011.
She began her career in 1993 with the LAPD as a Post-Doctoral Fellow, and after 2 years she moved to the LASD as a psychologist and then manager for over nine years. In 2004 Dr. Roland moved to Modesto, CA and now provides psychological services for over 80 agencies. This includes confidential counseling, critical incident stress debriefings after shootings and other traumatic events, consultation to executives and managers, and is a member of multiple Crisis Negotiation and Peer Support/CISM Programs. She conducts preemployment psychological screening evaluations, fitness-for-duty evaluations, and threat assessments.
She is the Past President of the American Board of Police and Public Safety Psychology, a Past General Chair of the IACP Police Psychological Services Section, and the Treasurer for the Council of Organizations in Police Psychology.
