Heather Wurth is the Chief of Police in Shorewood, WI, located along the shores of Lake Michigan, just north of the city of Milwaukee, “at the edge of the city and the heart of everything.” She began her law enforcement career in Milwaukee, WI, and served twenty-eight (28) years, retiring at the rank of Captain. She held leadership positions in patrol operations, administrative positions and has served as an adjunct trainer in multiple disciplines for over twenty (20) years. Chief Wurth is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Session 249, and a graduate of the Police Executive Research Forum’s Senior Management Institute for Police, Session 69. She has a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in Public Administration. She is currently completing a graduate certificate in Trauma Counseling.
