Section Chief Scott E. Schubert advocates for the use of the services that the Law Enforcement Support Section (LESS) has available to the FBI’s law enforcement and intelligence partners. LESS ensures all FBI partners are aware of the educational opportunities, statistical data, as well as technology and information sharing capabilities available through the FBI CJIS Division. Section Chief Schubert also supports the efforts of LESS staff to provide officer safety and wellness data collection, research, and training.
Prior to joining the FBI in July 2022, he spent 30 years in local law enforcement, including 5½ years as chief, with the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police. Chief Schubert is an active IACP member and is also involved in the FBI National Academy Association, FBI National Executive Institute Association, Major Cities Chiefs Association, and the Police Executive Research Forum. He received a Master of Science degree in criminal justice and a Bachelor of Science degree in law enforcement from Point Park University in Pittsburgh.
