Richard "Rick" Myers has served in policing since 1977. He holds a BS and an MS from Michigan State University, and is a graduate of the FBINAA, LEEDS, and the National Executive Institute (NEI). Rick Myers has led agencies in Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Colorado and Virginia, and has served as an Intermim Chief in Florida and Colorado, including Sanford, FL where he was called to assist in the wake of the Trayvon Martin homicide. He has studied under the late Herman Goldstein in Wisconsin and the late Bob Trojanowicz, often considered the developer of Community Oriented Policing. Myers served 9 years on the Commission for Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) and served as its Chair in his final years. He is a Life Member of the IACP, a former Board member of PERF, and a Past President of the Wisconsin Association of Chiefs of Police and Police Futurists International (PFI). Myers is the principle consultant/owner of RWM Limited, is a member of a Federal monitor team for a major city's Consent Decree, and is a publihed author. He lives in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
