Ms. Barrett has been the Director/Chief of the National Gang Intelligence Center since October 2022, leading a group of intelligence analysts from five federal law enforcement agencies in collaborative strategic analysis of the gang threat in the United States. Ms. Barrett joined the FBI as an Intelligence Analyst in 2010 and has served in multiple analytic roles addressing national security and criminal threats, both domestically and internationally. From 2012 to 2015, Ms. Barrett served in the FBI’s International Operations Division, forging and nurturing intelligence partnerships between domestic law enforcement and foreign partners in Europe and South America. From 2015 to 2022, Ms. Barrett was assigned to the FBI’s Washington Field Office, first as a threat analyst for international criminal threats and later as a Supervisory Intelligence Analyst. Ms. Barrett served in supervisory roles for both white collar and violent criminal intelligence programs at Washington Field Office before reporting to the FBI’s Criminal Investigative Division in May 2022.
