Kyle Dishko serves as a Deputy Police Chief over the Criminal Investigations Division of the Arlington, TX Police Department. He began his law enforcement career in January of 1997 with APD. APD is the 46th largest law enforcement agency in the country with over 900 members.
Chief Dishko was instrumental in the development of APD's community and crime strategy called “Operation Connect”. This strategy works to positively engage the community, reduce violent crime, and reduce serious injury crashes. Chief Dishko worked alongside Police Chief Jones to create the NIBIN Engagement Team (NET). This team is an intelligence gathering unit within the department that seeks to disrupt and dismantle gun violence in the community. Chief Dishko oversaw the development of the Human Exploitation and Trafficking Unit (HEAT). APD was selected by IACP as a demonstration site to help develop a Human Trafficking toolkit for police agencies.
Chief Dishko graduated from Sam Houston State University with a BS in Criminal Justice. He attended the Senior Management Institute for Police and completed the Police Executive Leadership Institute through the Major Cities Chiefs Association.
