Seifert has 29 years of law enforcement experience. She began her law enforcement career with the Sigourney, Iowa Police Department as a part-time reserve officer in 1994.
After graduating from college with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice, Seifert joined the Kirksville, Missouri Police Department. While at Kirksville PD, Seifert worked as a Community Policing Officer, School Resource Officer, ICAC Investigator, and Patrol Corporal. In 2012 Seifert joined the Truman State University Police Department as a Patrol Sergeant. In September of 2015, she was promoted to Chief of Police at Truman State University.
Seifert holds a Master of Arts in Leadership, with an emphasis on Criminal Justice Administration. She is a certified CEPTED Specialist, advanced trained hostage negotiator; A.L.I.C.E. Instructor, R.A.D. Instructor, and a Missouri POST Certified Generalist Instructor. She is married to her husband, West, and they have four children. Seifert enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors.
