Dr. Grant McDougall is a licensed mental health counselor, a national board-certified counselor, and a recognized speaker and trainer at local, state, national, and international law enforcement conferences and agencies. He is a board member of several national law enforcement associations. He is the founder and CEO of Southeastern Counseling & Consultation; a private company with multiple offices in Florida that specializes in serving first responders.
Dr. McDougall has performed thousands of pre-employment evaluations, along with critical incident debriefings, fitness-for-duty evaluations, and mental health counseling for first responders and their families. He has worked directly with agencies on-scene during mass casualty events and officer-involved shootings. He is an internationally recognized expert on stress and trauma, PTSD, and law enforcement mental health.
