Sylvie Châteauvert
In 2013, Sylvie joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) as Director General, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Branch; she recently promoted to Executive Director.
Sylvie delivers on critical requirements for the RCMP, including a comprehensive National Safety Program to ensure compliance to the Canada Labour Code, as well as strategies to advance on mental health and workplace well-being, including programs to support officers with operational stress injuries. This work is concurrent to her efforts to modernize the Occupational Health Program which promotes and monitors officers’ fitness for duty, thereby keeping “boots on the ground”.
Since 1981, Sylvie has worked in operational and corporate environments, primarily in OHS and human resources management. She has held executive leadership roles at the Communications Security Establishment, the Department of National Defense, Canadian Forces and the RCMP.
Sylvie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from “l’Université du Québec en Outaouais” and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from “l’École nationale en administration publique”.
