How to Leverage the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Technology, and Mapping for Intelligence-Driven Child Sex Trafficking Operations
GIS Solution Engineer, Public Safety Esri Vienna, Virginia, United States
This workshop is open to active law enforcement officers only. What do you get when you combine donated technology, mapping, child sex trafficking (CST) analysts, and tracking CST trends nationwide? You get an intel driven, LE sensitive, interactive map for large-scale operations. NCMEC has a close working relationship with a team at Esri and using their GIS mapping software we can map real-time intelligence on missing children who are likely victims of trafficking, possible traffickers, adult venues, hotels, gangs, and hot spots to support operational planning. In this session you will learn how the Child Sex Trafficking Team (CSTT) is tracking trends nationwide (and what those are), utilizing over 30 years of NCMEC data, and 20 experienced child sex trafficking analysts to support law enforcement efforts to locate child sex trafficking victims.
